No, it is not necessary to own your own domain name. If you don’t have a domain name, your site will utilize the root domain of thryvhive.net. We do encourage you to purchase a domain name as that will allow you to set your site URL using your own branding. You can always update your ThryvHive website to your new domain at any time.
Yes! Once you’ve subscribed to ThryvHive, you can update your site to your custom domain. We help you with this process. You first will complete your subscription order and then once logged into your new website WordPress dashboard, you can Click to Update to a Custom Domain.
No, additional plugins are not able to be added to your ThryvHive website. Your website comes with a plugin stack that provides robust functionality and should provide you with all you need. If you need a lot of customized functionality, ThryvHive may not be a good fit. Our goal is to provide a stable, worry-free, easy to manage website that it suitable for most coaching and small businesses.
